ABOUT THE FILMS
TR(ol) - In 1999, a chain letter began to matriculate around online message boards. The goal? Get New Kids On The Block’s 1989 music video “Hangin’ Tough” on Total Request Live. Why? Cuz it wud b funny lmao.
Stud Country - Stud Country, the largest queer country western line dancing event in America, was created to preserve Los Angeles' little known 50+ year queer line dancing tradition. Despite its success and fiercely committed community, the event is set to lose its venue due to gentrification.
The Falcons - The Falcons is an intimate, observational documentary that explores the Tshakhruk Ethnoband in the highlands of Armenia, a musical ensemble composed of special needs children who refuse to be defined by their physical challenges.
Used To Be - Images and sounds from the last days of the oldest record store in town.
Beijing Story - Beijing Story follows Cong Pai, an aspiring punk-rock guitarist who drops out of high school after his mother's sudden death.
Interstate Ninety Four - Sometimes the unknown can be a destination. An exploration of trust, human connection, mystery and finding purpose within.
5 Iron - A sick clown and a hurt clown fight for their sanity when met by their demonic counterparts. Reflecting back the state of humanity, the physical and mental pain, the iIllness and injury in the world.
That’s On Me - An Ed Sheeran music video telling the story of Alger, a retired injured biker, who is seeking joy and an escape from boredom through the exploration of new passions.

Celebrating 25 years in 2024, Sound Unseen is a cultural organization dedicated to the role of film and music as a conduit of powerful ideas and diverse viewpoints. Our mission is to foster a greater appreciation of cinema, to bridge cultures, create and expand community, provide cultural exchange, networking opportunities and educational outreach through regular interaction with great films, filmmakers, musicians and artists.
