About
Homeowners and property owners can learn about wood door and window restoration at the Door & Window Repair Workshop being held at The Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum in Little Falls on Thursday, July 15th. Learn practical and effective skills and techniques to keep your doors and windows in good condition and bring those in tough shape back to life.
While older homes and buildings can experience tight doors and drafty windows, these were designed to be easily maintained, repaired or rebuilt. In fact, original doors and windows can be brought back to better-than-new condition with improved energy efficiency.
Join local building specialist, Eric Cheever, at The Charles A. Weyerhaeuser Memorial Museum in Little Falls on Thursday, July 15th, 10 a.m. to noon, for an informative workshop covering the basics of wood door and window repair. Learn to identify and manage rotted wood, how to fix cracks and drafts, and how properly maintained old wood doors and windows can be made as energy efficient as replacements. You will also get tips on the best methods for weatherization.
This workshop is a rich overview for anyone who cares for an older building with original doors and windows. General admission is $20. Sliding scale admission options are also available. Register at rethos.org/classes.
This class is brought to you by Rethos: Places Reimagined, and organized by the Morrison County Historical Society, its Central MN Education Coordinator. Rethos Education is financed in part by the State of Minnesota from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund through the Minnesota Historical Society.
