The Dropkick Murphys
About
Dropkick Murphys put down their acoustic guitars and return to the road this fall for a
run of full electric shows joined by The
Interrupters and opener Jesse Ahern.
This energetic band is known for their blend of punk rock and
traditional Irish folk music, creating a unique and infectious musical style
often called "Celtic punk." Their raucous sound combines driving
guitar riffs, spirited bagpipes, and anthemic sing-along choruses, resulting in
a high-energy experience that pays homage to their Irish heritage while
embracing the raw intensity of punk rock.
Dropkick Murphys proudly remain Boston's
rock 'n' roll underdogs turned champions. Since 1996, the boys have created the
kind of music that's meant to be chanted at the last call, in packed arenas,
and during the fourth quarter, third period, or ninth inning of a comeback
rally.
Their celebrated discography includes four consecutive Billboard Top 10
albums and the gold-selling The Warrior's Code featuring the beloved
"I'm Shipping UpTo Boston."
