Sax-Zim Bog
The Sax-Zim Bog is home to a diverse set of plants, most of which have a particularly close relationship to butterflies or moths. This field trip will focus on exploring the diversity of butterflies in the Sax-Zim Bog flying very early in the season. These species usually have very short flight periods and have special relationships with bog specialist plant species, which will also be considered. The Sax-Zim Bog offers a lot for the casual butterfly watcher, as well as the seasoned butterfly enthusiast! All ages and ability levels are welcome!
