If you're looking for an educational, engaging, and affordable attraction in Rochester, the History Center has you covered! Our exhibits explore the extraordinary and everyday stories of Olmsted County and Rochester: the founding of Mayo Clinic, pioneers homesteading the prairie, family farmers feeding the state and nation, and entrepreneurs building businesses.
Our exhibits change out often and contain fascinating local history facts.
Weather permitting, and you can experience days gone by with access to the Hadley Valley Schoolhouse and Dee Cabin. You may walk along the Stoppel Farmstead taking in the beauty that surrounds the historical grounds.

The History Center is a proud participant in Museums for All. Through Museums for All, those receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits) can gain free admission to the History Center museum simply by presenting their EBT card. Events and Mayowood are not included in this program.
