From I-35: Proceed to I-90 West.
From I-90: Take the Bridge Avenue Exit. Turn South on Bridge Avenue. Proceed to the third Stop Light (Richway) and turn RIGHT. The school will be on the LEFT after the first STOP Sign.
About
This event is a cooperative event between the Albert Lea Family Y and Southwest Middle School. The Fountain Lake 5 is a five mile race around beautiful Fountain Lake coordinated by the Albert Lea Family Y. Runners will enjoy many spectacular views of Albert Lea by Fountain Lake as they participate in the event.
The Tiger Trot 5K is the Annual Fundraiser for Southwest Middle School sharing the beautiful lake route for part of the race raising funds to support student experiences and activities during the school year. Runners and walkers will start on Richway Drive and turn left through beautiful residential neighborhoods. They will follow the lake for the second part of the course until they reach Brookside for the finish line.
Medals are awarded for the top finishers in each age category.
Registration starts at 7:30am and the race starts at 9:00am.
