The Twin City Model Railroad Museum is hosting a Great Northern themed slide show of all your favorite Twin Cities train watching spots from 1955 thru 1970. This slide show is all new, and has never been seen before. The slide show will be cover the end of steam on the Great Northern and the increasing use of diesels thru 1970 at locations like the Minneapolis and St. Paul depots, Dale Street Shops, the Stone Arch bridge, Minneapolis Junction, Lyndale Yard, the main Great Northern U of M yard and other locations such as the GN Iron Range division. Our keynote speaker will also briefly discuss the Sioux City Iowa Museum plans to restore a Great Northern 4-6-2 steam engine #1355 to working operation in a few years. www.gn1355.org
Cost is the normal $10 Museum admission which includes full access to the Museum layouts. The presentation is 1 hour and will be in the front conference room.
