In the summer of 1979, two 20-something guys—writer Martin Keller and photographer Greg Helgeson—were thrown together on a new music magazine called Sweet Potato. Over the next few years, they chronicled some of the most influential international and local artists, musicians, writers, comedians, and entertainers ever to hit the Minnesota scene.
