Watermark Art Center and Paul Bunyan Communications present The Human Journey: Works by Joachim Berthold opening on May 6th through August 13th.

The Human Journey looks at the transformation of the individual and the strength that is found in the community of others. Through his drawings and sculptures, Berthold grapples with the evolution of man’s human-ness and how art plays an essential role in that development.

Born in 1917, Berthold was a West German sculptor who worked predominantly in bronze. His work has been shown in museums and galleries throughout the world, including New York, Munich, Milan, and Vancouver.

The public is invited to attend the opening reception on First Friday May 6th from 5 to 7pm. There is no charge for this event. Watermark galleries are free and open to the public Monday - Saturday from 10 to 5pm and located at 505 Bemidji Avenue N. in Bemidji, Minnesota.
