October 6-10th, Mankato’s Indigenous People’s Day Committee is hosting a weekend full of events. This year’s theme will be “Keeping Indigenous History: Growing our Seeds.”  

All events will be free and open to the public. 

Thurs Oct 6, 2022: Film showing at MSU Campus - Ostrander Auditorium - 4:00pm to 6:00pm - Film Showing: Gather 

Fri Oct 7, 2022: “Food and a Band” at The HUB Food Park - 4:00pm - 8:00pm 

  • Main band - Bluedog
  • Drum group and dancers - Upstream Singer
  • Food trucks
  • Vendors

*bring chair or blanket 

Saturday Oct 8, 2022: Film showing at Blue Earth County Historical Society - 1:00pm - Film Showing: Gather

Sunday Oct 9, 2022: Film showing at Blue Earth County Historical Society - 2:00pm - Film Showing: Gather 

Monday Oct 10, 2022: Indigenous People’s Day Keynote Speaker - Ostrander Auditorium - 7:00pm-8:30pm - Diane Wilson, Author “The Seedkeeper”
