About
The workshop is adapted for the student experienced in painting with soft pastels. However, it is not necessary to be an "accomplished" pastelis, nor a landscape painter.
The class will cover the basic fundamentals of landscape painting as well as pastel techniques used to create vibrant and painterly works of art.
The two class themes will be:
- A new way of seeing . . .painting shapes and values rather than things and
- Learning helpful methods of creating successful landscape compositions.
Materials included in artists fee.
1. Pastel sanded papers.
2. Charcoals, charcoal pencils
3. Pastel blenders, stumps, etc.
4. Pastel fixative
5. Viva paper towels
6. Mat and backing, glass, frame for one small piece of finished artwork will be available at minimal cost.
Students must provide their own pastels.
