About

Bring the family and join Alison Aune and Wendy Savage, both seasoned art educators, to the Tweed Museum of Art to participate in the second Family Day developed in conjunction with Intersections, an exhibition of contemporary Native art by Minnesota-based artists.

Families will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of art activities throughout the museum, which are all based on works by artists on display in the exhibition. For example, participants may be interested in creating Makuk-style paper baskets, Cray-Pas art inspired by works from the late George Morrison or watercolors by Carl Gawboy. In addition, we are offering a station to create drawings with Prisma Colors, inspired by Frank Big Bear.

Light refreshments will be served during the event.

Free and open to the public.
