Three great races. One easy registration!

Accept the KP Challenge to stay on track with your fitness goals. This series of three Grandma’s Marathon races is strategically spaced to keep you running strong all year.

Included in the KP Challenge are: the Saint Fennessy 4k, Fitger’s 5k and Park Point 5-Miler.

Accept the KP Challenge to: Stick to a regular running schedule;Train to gradually complete longer distances; Receive a KP Challenge race bib recognition; and Earn exclusive KP Challenge swag!

The KP Challenge is named in honor of Grandma’s Marathon’s dear friend Kevin Peterson who lost his battle to Pancreatic Cancer in 2013. Kevin was a member of the marathon’s founding organization, the North Shore Striders. His involvement continued throughout his life as a volunteer and board member.

All net proceeds from the KP Challenge will benefit the Young Athletes Foundation, a Grandma’s Marathon program.

3/14/20 - Saint Fennessy 4k (Hermantown)
Get your green on for this zesty 4K that brings you right to the party with LIVE music and tasty beverages. All the action happens in Hermantown Square including an entertainment tent! Participants will receive a commemorative Saint Fennessy 4K winter hat.

4/18/20 - Fitger's 5k Run & Walk (Duluth)
Jump start spring training with Fitger’s 5K Run & Walk. The USATF-certified, chip-timed 3.1-mile race travels through Downtown Duluth on Superior Street into Canal Park and finishes back at Fitger’s.

7/16/20 - Park Point 5 Miler & 2-Mile Walk (Duluth)
Enjoy a summer evening running on Duluth’s beautiful Park Point in the oldest road race in Northern Minnesota.

The Park Point 5-Miler starts near the Park Point Pavilion in Duluth and participants run down Minnesota Avenue before finishing back near the Pavilion. A 2-mile walk and short races for children accompany the 5-mile run. This is the 3rd of 3 KP Challenge races!

Registration will open January 1.

All net proceeds from the Park Point 5-Miler benefit the Young Athletes Foundation (YAF).
