Land O'Lakes Dog Show
About
Land O'Lakes Kennel Club Dog Show returns to St. Paul RiverCentre.
More than 1,500 purebred canines - from big to small, hunting to herding, working and terrier, and even lap dogs - will compete for American Kennel Club (AKC) awards when Land O’Lakes Kennel Club presents its annual Dog Show at Saint Paul RiverCentre from Friday - Sunday, Jan. 4 - 6. Over 155 breeds of dogs and more than 4,000 entries will be competing for the honor of "Best in Show." Judging schedules will be posted the week prior at onofrio.com. Once again, Partners in Performance will feature owners of search and rescue dogs, police dogs and assist dogs who will give 30-minute demonstrations on what makes their dogs unique.
The Unleashed Dog Expo will feature live demonstrations of a number of fun activities for dogs and their owners. From barn hunting to skijoring, agility to tracking, there's bound to be something for every dog. The Junior Handler Clinic with the Professionals is a free clinic set for Saturday. Junior handlers will receive individual instruction (with their dog) from AKC registered professional handlers. Available to all current and future Junior Handlers who are under the age of 18 and who live and compete in a 15-state region, including Minnesota. More than 70 vendors will be a part of the Ringside Market, showcasing the hottest trends in canine apparel and accessories, quality dog supplies, collectibles and artwork.
At the Meet the Breeds, the American Kennel Club will provide information on everything about dogs, including help in identifying breeds that are compatible with different personalities and lifestyles.
Behind-the-scenes tours of the show will be offered every hour from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, free with the price of admission.
Times/schedules will be posted at www.landolakeskennelclub.org as they become available.
