Be immersed in an off-grid lifestyle as you learn to run your own team of traditional sled dogs with the support of other women!
This weekend takes place at the Points Unknown Off-Grid Homestead in the remote north woods of Minnesota's Arrowhead Region. Points Unknown is a fully Off-Grid Sled Dog Kennel that offers a Solar-Powered Guest Suite.
Led by Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) Dog Sledding Instructor, Points Unknown owner and musher of 20 years Linda Newman, you will be immersed in Linda's off-grid lifestyle with her sled pets as you learn how to participate in fall training for the sled dogs!
This experience is limited to 6 participants. Fee of $1199 includes the following:
-Lodging in Points Unknown's Off-Grid, Solar-Powered Guest Suite with full kitchen and hot water
-All meals from dinner on the 6th to breakfast on the 9th
-A safe introduction to dog sledding with customized, one-on-one instruction
-Immersion into an off-grid lifestyle
-A supportive and fun all-women environment perfect for your first exposure to mushing
-Of course, cuddle time with the sled pets!

The Points Unknown homestead is fully off-grid and low-environemtnal impact. Our 18 solar panels and 24 deep-stage batteries harvest and store renewable energy, and our outdoor wood furnace powers our in-floor heating.
