WHAT:           Let’s
Chalk

Let’s Chalk is a two-day street art festival
with entertainment, food, and family fun! This free event will feature bright,
bold and even 3D art from professionals, amateurs and enthusiasts from across
the globe! Join us on Saturday and Sunday, September 9th and 10th
to watch these masterpieces taking shape in f downtown Monticello.

Along with seeing the chalk art come to life, festival
participants will be able to enjoy food and
beverages from local businesses and organizations, listen to local musicians, and explore the art
installations throughout the downtown. There
will also be family-friendly activities, including chalk fun for kids to draw their own masterpieces.

Featured Artists

 

Shawn McCann (Crystal,
MN)

As an artist, and co-founder of Let’s Chalk, Shawn
McCann has been featured at numerous street painting festivals throughout the
us and overseas and has worked on projects such as exhibition sized pieces and
corporate clients. His work has won numerous awards, been an NEA grant
recipient, and is held in private and public collections, and has also been
featured twice at the LA Times Festival of Books as a featured illustrator.
Shawn was one of the few American artists chosen to participate in the Dubai
Canvas, one of the most prestigious street art festivals in the world, and
currently organizes six street art festivals throughout the Midwest, including
Let’s Chalk

 

Ever Galvez (California)

Ever Galvez is a fine artist with
more than 20 years of experience, classically trained in painting,
drawing, conceptual art, sculpture and traditional  animation. He is
known most prominently for his award winning Chalk Street Painting talents. He
began his journey enriched by the vibrant colors of Mexico and eventually the
multicultural influences of Southern California. Ever travels year round
nationally and internationally to paint at large festivals, Private Events and
 often supporting philanthropic causes giving back to the community.
 

Allie Howe (Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada)

Mostly self-taught, Allie has been painting and
airbrushing for the past 25 years. His main focus is on large murals and chalk
art. Allie has pieces of his art and murals included in collections in cities
all over the world.
