About
Dr. Wood is best known for his ground-breaking work on the G-suit during World War II. He became one of Mayo Clinic’s most prominent researchers, playing a pivotal role in the creation of several innovative medical technologies including cardiac catheterization, the oximeter, and computer-based X-ray techniques. Dr. Wood's son, Andrew Wood has written LIFE AT HIGH G-FORCE: The Quest of Mayo Clinic Researcher Dr. Earl H. Wood which will be released later this month. Join us October 26, 2023, at 7pm at the History Center for an in-depth fascinating talk with Andrew Wood.
