About
United Way's annual Lumberjack Mile & 5K returns on its scenic riverside route! Taking place the morning of Grand Rapids Riverfest, participants are invited to dress up in their lumberjack best and run, walk, or jog for a good cause. Runners of all ages and skill levels are welcome - whether you're chasing your personal best or out for a scenic stroll, you'll have a great time wearing flannel, getting active, and playing lumberjack games at the finish line!
Check-in starts at 8 am on Saturday, September 10th at the KAXE Amphitheatre (260 NE 2nd St), with the run beginning at 9 am. Spectators are welcome to cheer participants on and enjoy local breweries along the Mississippi River. Register online at uwlakes.org/lumberjack. Virtual and in-person options are available. Race packets include run bibs, drink tickets, and a limited-edition, collectible T-shirt designed by a northern Minnesota artist. Participating lumberdogs receive a special 4-legged swag bag. All proceeds support United Way of 1000 Lakes' work to improve Itasca-area communities.
