LUSH COUNTRY – THE BEST COUNTRY SONGS OF THE ’40S, ’50S & ‘60S

About

Are you lonesome tonight? Got heartaches by the number? A hankering for pedal steel guitar, some high lonesome Floyd Cramer piano and a Patsy Cline yodel? Then it’s time for a date with Lush Country, an all-star band started in 2016 playing the best country songs of the 1940s, ’50s and ‘60s. From Eddy Arnold to Tammy Wynette and back again, and featuring a supergroup of local singers and multi-instrumentalists, all veterans of A Prairie Home Companion and decades of performing and touring.

No matter what ails you – Crazy Arms, a Cold, Cold Heart, or a pair of boots made for walkin’ – with Lush Country and you know you’re in excellent company. Featuring Prudence Johnson on vocals, Dan Chouinard on piano and accordion, Gary Rue on guitar, Joe Savage on pedal steel and harmonica, Richard Kriehn on guitar, fiddle & mandolin, Peter Johnson on drums and Gary Raynor on bass.
