Maple Syrup Festival - Canceled

About

***Due to current public health concerns around COVID-19, this event has been canceled***

Maple Tree Tapping, sap collecting, sugar shack tours and syrup cooking demos, educational demonstrations, horse-drawn rides, kid activities, syrup samples, and hot maple syrup sundaes await the whole family at this annual rite of spring.

Before You Come: The festival is ENTIRELY OUTDOORS - rain, snow, or shine. Please dress for the weather. It is usually extremely muddy, snowy, and occasionally icy out at the sugar shack. We HIGHLY recommend wearing boots. Please leave dogs and pets at home. While we love them too, they are not allowed in the Abbey Arboretum. All the activities are going on throughout the festival between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Parking is near the Saint John's Preparatory School and the science buildings at Saint John's University. A series of van shuttles will be taking people from parking out to the festival where you will find the registration and check-in as well as all the festival activities. Alternatively, guests are welcome to walk; the Sugar Shack is approximately 0.8 miles from the New Science Center.
