Mid-Season Wildflowers Field Trip
Sax-Zim Bog
The Sax-Zim Bog is a diverse network of habitats, which, in turn, allow for a large diversity of flowering plants! In fact, we have documented nearly 400 species of vascular plant in our area! In one day, you could find bog specialties, prairie plants, and boreal forest staples within a few miles of one another. This field trip will hope to give a good introduction to common (and not-so-common) wildflowers in our area, whether or not they are in bloom.
