The Anderson Center at Tower View is pleased to present the 25th annual Minnesota Children’s Book Festival.
This event generally takes place the 3rd Saturday of September, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m., featuring presentations of new books by award-winning children’s & young adult authors and illustrators. Enjoy the outdoor festival taking place on the grounds at the Anderson Center’s, historic Tower View campus.
Great for all ages. Although it states it’s a children’s book festival, it is an ideal opportunity for up-and-coming artists/interns, writers and all creative minds to connect. Families make it a day. Load up the bikes and hit the cannon valley trail before or after attending this fun festival.

So many various narratives are presented touching on multiple subjects, skill-building, and diverse perspectives that help kids, as well as their adult. A great opportunity to learn how to open your minds to accept each other and the world around them. Throughout the afternoon, each author or illustrator presents their work, reads from their book, and participates in a meet & greet and book signing booth.
Other activities may include face-Painting, tours to the top of the Anderson Center’s landmark water tower, hands on activities with individuals from the University of Minnesota and Goodhue County Historical Society, bookmark making, outdoor games, table tennis, balloon-animals, and local Food Trucks will be present. Come for this event, stay for the weekend.
