Come join us for the 5th annual Morels & Memories Mushroom Hunt-Lending morel support of Alzheimer's Research
The Morels & Memories-Mushroom Hunt & Alzheimer’s Fundraiser was started in honor of my mother Heidi Vanderlinde, who was diagnosed with Younger Onset Alzheimer’s Disease, in 2011, at the age of 49, and sadly lost her battle to the disease August 2019. The fundraiser is now on it’s 5th year, raising almost $18k and counting towards finding a cure for Alzheimer’s disease.
100% of donations will be going to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund
Come join the hunt for the elusive Morel mushroom, our Minnesota State mushroom.
Experienced guides will take you on private property, less than an hour from the Twin Cities, to assist you on the hunt!
Prizes for the first, largest, most morels found!
Keep what you find!
Raise the most funds as a team this year, and you and up to 3 other paid participants of your choice, will get to be personally guided by Gentleman Forager Mike Kempenich, owner of Forest to Fork!

See the 10 ft tall Morel Mushroom Mosaic, created out of smaller mushrooms colored by local student and children in the community!
*Please note, as Morels are only grown wild, and there are no guarantees you will find any
*Please dress for the woods, there are things like sharp branches, poison ivy, and wood ticks in the woods so make sure you dress accordingly
General admission to participate will be $50 per person.
$75 for the Philanthropist Package, that includes sweet commemorative swag, and an entry in a drawing to win tickets to the Wild Food Fandango, in St. Paul!
We are requesting an additional donation in the amount of your choice for children 12 and under
Signage will be posted the day of the event on Swede Lake Road
