About
Pisanki are eggs that are decorated and colored, and are a tradition in Poland and other East and Central European countries. The word pisanki comes from the Polish verb pisac, which means "to write". This class will use a technique that involves a metal funnel at the end of a stick, called a kistka, to create designs with warm flowing wax. Join WCHS member and volunteer, Lori Ortega, in creating your Pisanki on either Sunday, April 13, Noon - 3 p.m. or on Monday, April 14, also Noon - 3 p.m. p.m. Cost is just $12 for WCHS members and $20 for non-members. All the supplies are provided, and you can take your decorated egg home. Registration is required by calling 507-454-2723 ext. 0 or stopping in the History Center. Best for 12 and older, any minors must be accompanied by an adult. No refunds unless class is cancelled by WCHS. Each class is limited to 12 people.
