About

Nisswa Stamman Scandinavian folk music and dance festival will celebrate its 21st year at the Nisswa Pioneer Village. This ever-growing event offers a celebration of Scandinavian and Scandinavian/American folk music in the northwoods. Performers travel from Norway, Sweden, Denmark and Finland as well as various parts of the United States and the local area, to play at this festival on several stages. The event also offers singing and dancing workshops, a children's activity area and Scandinavian foods. On Saturday, June 8th a fiddler's parade on the Paul Bunyan State Trail in Nisswa kicks off the all-day folk music festival, which culminates with a smorgasbord feast. Don't miss this annual gathering of fiddlers, nyckelharpers, hardingfele players, accordionists, guitarists, vocalists, dancers and general aficionados of Scandinavian folk music!
