The two-day North Shore Winter Photography Workshop is designed to help you maximize the potential of your digital photography equipment and master effective techniques for capturing the beauty of the North Shore's winter landscape.
You'll explore scenic locations with stunning ice formations and learn to capture the interplay between lakeshore ice and natural light with Duluth native, and professional photographer, William Hurst.
Saturday's session focuses on digital photography field techniques including the essentials of image composition, the use of natural light, tripods, shutter releases, and lens filters. You'll visit hand-picked locations that showcase the scenic beauty of our winter landscape throughout the day and get one-on-one instruction with William.
Sunday's session dives into organizing, cataloguing, editing and finishing your photographs using Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. William will share his workflows and unique approach to creating print-worthy images. You'll have time to work on your images from the previous day's adventure and finish an image that will be transformed into a 12" x 18" print so you can showcase your new skills and wow your friends.
