Please join us in the Central Square Art Gallery on Saturday,
October 14th, from 5:30–7pm, before the George Maurer Group performance begins,
for the Opening Gallery Reception of our October exhibit, the MAHS Student
Soundwalk. There will be complimentary refreshments provided by our
generous gallery sponsor, Rolling Forks Vineyards.
What exactly
is a soundwalk?
It's a unique form of art
engagement that combines music, sound design, art creation, writing, and
physical exploration of various art spaces. This soundwalk, titled, “I Am,”
encouraged students to create an immersive audio and art experience as part of
their artistic education, aiming to stimulate their imagination, artistic
expression, and awareness of how adding music, poetry, stories, or ambient
sounds can enhance the perception of art, fostering a deeper connection with
the artist's vision.
