About

The annual Slumberland Furniture Bedrace for Bridging will take off down Buck Hill in Burnsville, Minn. (15400 Buck Hill Road).

Creatively dressed teams of four will race against each other, zipping down the tubing hill atop custom covered mattresses, all while raising funds for Bridging, a local nonprofit that assists more than 4,000 families annually as they pursue housing stability and fill their homes with hope.

Participants will enjoy friendly racing, music, chats by the bonfire, awards - and best of all - help support Bridging.

Registering a fundraising team is free and once teams raise the minimum fundraising amount ($400 per team) they'll be invited to participate in this year's Bedrace! Prizes will be awarded to the teams that raise the most funds! Thanks to our generous sponsors, one hundred percent of funds raised go directly to support Bridging.

Teams are encouraged to dress in fun costumes and compete in the K102 Costume Contest. Prizes will be awarded for top costumes, fastest race times, and highest fundraising efforts.

For details, registration, and parking information, please visit www.bridging.org/bedrace. All team members must be 18 or older to participate.

Bridging is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that primarily serves the greater Twin Cities, providing quality donated furniture and household items to one hundred homes each week. Bridging was founded on one simple, yet powerful idea—that together we can create a bridge between those in need and those with excess. Since 1987, Bridging has served more than 100,000 households, and reduces landfill space by 10 million pounds each year. Bridging’s mission is to empower people to thrive in their homes by providing quality furniture and household goods as they pursue housing stability. www.Bridging.org
