Paul's Bacon Ride

The ride will start with a BACON-theme breakfast at the Northland Arboretum trailhead of the Paul Bunyan Trail.

After riding about 7 miles pull into Merrifield for a quick BACON fix featuring some BACON snacks! If you are thirsty, pop into Harpo's Saloon for a Bloody Mary or Cold Beer!

Just 7 miles up the trail and through the woods from Merrifield, the fun trail town of Nisswa awaits you! You'll be ready for some tasty BACON samples from the areas best BACON producers for sure!

Stop at the Big Axe Brewing Co. for some of Minnesota's finest craft brews, or slide into the Ye Old Pickle Factory for beer or other cold beverage! They are both just an axe throw from the Paul Bunyan Trail. Nisswa also has a slew of neat shops and restaurants for you to enjoy!

Ride another 3.5 miles from Nisswa and our BACON-themed lunch stop awaits you at Trailside Park in Pequot Lakes. We will have live music jamming for your enjoyment, so kick back and relax!

If you are thirsty you can stroll across the street to Lucky's Tavern for a good drink special or maybe a margarita at Barajas Mexican Grill and Cantina.

AND THEN WHAT???

Once you reach Pequot Lakes, you turn around and head back the same way on the Paul Bunyan Trail and stop as you please in the trail towns of Nisswa and Merrifield before you return to Brainerd!
