About

Mark your calendars for July 18 when the CVSC will have its
annual “Picnic in the Park” at Eastside Park. Starting at 10 a.m., we
will have Deputy Mike Ayers from the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Department
along with his K-9 dog, Halo, demonstrating what the dog is trained to
do. K-9 dogs are an important resource for the police in many situations
and they have specific training in certain areas. The Sheriff’s
Department is also bringing some of their horses. All are welcome to
attend and to bring family and friends to this great event. A picnic
lunch will be served starting at 11:30 a.m.

A special thank you to Lorentz Meats, which once again is donating their
great tasting brats that will be served with good, old-fashioned
summertime side dishes. We’ll have the “Corn Hole” game set up along
with horseshoes and the new outside pickleball court will be there for
anyone interested in a game. While the event is free to all, free will
donations toward the CVSC are always appreciated.
