Learn how you can design, establish, plant, and harvest a new vegetable garden. Explore how to read seed catalogs and seed packets to help select varieties that best suit your needs. The instructor will offer tips on specific vegetable varieties that are particularly well suited to our area.

Presenter Bio:

Bruce Galer was raised on a farm in southwestern Minnesota and has been gardening with vegetables most of his life. He became a Sherburne County Master Gardener in 2016. Bruce is a professional geologist and certified wetland delineator in Minnesota and is employed as an environmental consultant. His vegetable gardens are over 1,500 square feet and he is passionate about maintaining heirloom varieties, seed saving, and pollinators.
