Richard Egarr Plays Handel and Corelli

About

Artistic Partner Richard Egarr “pulls out all the stops”
(literally!) in these neighborhood concerts featuring several delightful
Baroque organ concertos by George Frideric Handel, which were originally
premiered during intermissions of his operas and oratorios in London and
highlighted the composer’s virtuosity at the keyboard. Egarr also leads the
orchestra in several concerti grossi by Arcangelo Corelli, whose energetic
showpieces inspired composers like Handel to write their own collections.
