About

Founded in 2010 by local artists and entrepreneurs with the help of the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation, this one-of-a-kind Saturday open-air market showcases produce from local farmers, artisan foods and a variety of fine art and fine craft by Northfield area artists. Originally started as a venue for local entrepreneurs to market their products, the Riverwalk Market Fair has become a valued community asset where local residents gather as well as a popular destination for visitors from the Twin Cities and the region.

Riverwalk Market Fair operates Saturdays from Mid-May to Mid-October (except for the weekend of Defeat of Jesse James Gang in September). The Fair is Located in the heart of downtown Northfield, Minnesota along the scenic Cannon River. Historic Northfield is located just six miles from Interstate 35 where State Highways 19 and 3 intersect (see driving directions below)

Art and Fine Crafts: Paintings, prints, handmade jewelry, photography, ceramics, metal sculpture, wood creations, and wearable art.

Organic farm products: Vegetables, herbs, meats, honey, fruit, cut flowers, and eggs.

Locally produced goods: Alpaca wool knitted items, beeswax candles, wool yarn, and goats milk soaps.

Delicious foods by local culinary artists: Pastries, homemade breads, Scandinavian baked goods, sweet treats, caramels, jams & jellies.

Entertainment: Live musicians, arts and craft activities for children, food demonstrations, theatrical performers, artists demonstrating their craft, and other family-friendly activities.
