Rochester Symphony - Introducing Robert Kahn 

About

Dutch-American conductor and recipient of the Solti Career Assitance Award, Robert Kahn is Assistant Conductor at the Academy of Vocal Arts in Philadelphia. A graduate of the Conducting Fellowship at the Curtis Institute of Music, he has served as cover conductor with the Philadelphia Orchestra and New York Philharmonic. In choosing the program for this concert, Maestro Kahn says, "This concert opener reflects my love of opera. The following two works reveal my passion for finding overlooked masterpieces as well as revisiting the great pillars of the repertoire." Kahn will conduct Verdi's La Forza del Destino Overture, C. Schumann's Piano Concerto, and Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4. This concert features guest pianist Avery Gagliano. Tickets are $22/$33 for adults and $5 for students.
