The Current's annual free Rock the Cradle event for kids and their grownups to explore music, art and culture returns Sunday, March 24, at the Minneapolis Institute of Art and Children's Theatre Company.
There will be opportunities to take in storytime with author Joseph Kuefler and learn the science of DJing with DJ Kool Akiem. Families can also enjoy a Classical MPR performance from Border CrosSing and do MeMoves (a sensorimotor multimedia program) with Call to Mind, MPR's mental health initiative.
In addition to annual favorites such as the Kids' Disco and Pop Up Story Time with DJs from The Current, there will be live music from Aby Wolf, Andy Cook and Friends, DJ sets from DJ Hampster Dance and pop-up performances from Cameron Kinghorn and Friends. Rock the Cradle is perfect for kids up to age 8.

Every night at 7 p.m., families can tune in to the Rock the Cradle stream to hear parenting tips from Dr. Gigi Chawla from Children's Minnesota and story time with The Current's hosts.
