The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra: Piazzolla’s “The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires”

About

In a continuation of this season’s temporal theme, SPCO violinist Eunice
Kim takes center stage in “The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires”, Astor
Piazzolla’s impassioned response to Antonio Vivaldi’s “Four Seasons” and
filled with the fiery drama of the dance halls and streets of Buenos Aires.
Tracing Visions, a two-movement work for string orchestra by Sandbox
Composer-in-Residence Valerie Coleman, “embodies the common threads of
community and empathy,” in the words of the composer, offering an elegy of
grief and a juba of celebration.
