WHAT: Seward Community Co-op’s
Annual CSA Fair
Join us for the 22nd
Annual Seward Co-op Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Fair. Seward Community Co-op is dedicated to helping build a
food system that values inclusivity, environmental responsibility, equity, and
access. Visit our CSA Fair to see these values in action and choose a CSA share
that is right for you and your household. Midwest Food Connection will be on
hand with activities for kids, treats, prizes, and more. The event will also
celebrate Seward Co-op’s new General Manager, Ray Williams!
“By supporting innovative and
sustainable producers, we are working to envision and build a food system that
will carry us into the future,” says Ray Williams, the new General Manager of
Seward Co-op. “We look forward to also offering community members a chance to
engage in the future of the Creamery building.”
Seward Co-op finalized the
official purchase of the building in the fall of 2022, and are excited to bring
owners into the conversation about how the space can serve the community.
Seward Co-op staff and board members will lead informal “walk and talks”
through the building and provide opportunities for questions and feedback on
the next phase of growth.
Guests will also learn about a
variety of different CSAs, which offer vegetables and fruit, meat, cheese,
bread, mushrooms, and more. Some farms also offer add-ons like honey, maple
syrup, eggs, and flowers. Others allow CSA shares to be customized, and other
options to fit your needs (such as half shares, weekly purchase options, etc.).
