SOUTHBOUND ALL STARS – MUSIC OF THE ALLMAN BROTHERS, CHARLIE DANIELS & MORE

About

Featuring Pat Fredrick

Local rock and country legend Pat Frederick, of Daisy Dillman Band fame, presents Southbound All-Stars—a joyful, thunderous tribute to the glory days of Southern rock. Born in the backwaters of Muscle Shoals and Jacksonville, Southern rock made waves through the ’60s and ’70s, blending blues, hillbilly, gospel, boogie and rock into a swaggering mix of soaring twin guitar leads, burning fiddle and soulful vocals. Pat’s fiddle work leads the way, bringing classics like the Allman Brothers’ “Ramblin’ Man” and “Jessica” to life, along with explosive renditions of “Devil Went Down to Georgia” and “South’s Gonna Do It Again.”

Joining Pat are Minnesota aces Dylan Salfer on slide guitar/vocals, Jordan Hedlund on keys/vocals, Dr. Dave Schmalenberger on drums and Scott Malchow on bass/vocals. A founding member of Minnesota’s Daisy Dillman Band, Pat Frederick is a veteran musician and a recipient of numerous awards including “Best Violinist” (MN Music Awards). He is also an inductee of the Minnesota Rock Hall of Fame and the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame. Come join the Southbound All-Stars as they pay tribute to the best of Southern rock—Southbound we go!
