The 40th annual Spicer WinterFest is almost here. There are lots of great events planned between January 13th – February 9th, 2025, including the WinterFest family fun day and fireworks, and so much more!

We are excited to see what Charles Construction, WeeKut Ice Company, Travis Masonry and the team of volunteers come up with for our 2025 ice castle. Construction is slated to begin the weekend of January 10th, with community events being planned between January 13th – February 9th.

On Saturday, January 25th, our family fun day will take place featuring PWELC’s kick sleds, sponsored by Scotty Martens of 320 Real Estate and Alley on Ash, and fireworks will take place starting at 6pm.

Other events this year may include: the Frozen 5K, the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Minnesota, the Lions WinterFest Raffle, and more!

Throughout WinterFest, Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center will have cross-country skis, snowshoes, kick sleds and fat-tire bike rentals available. (weather permitting) The cost is $5/youth, $10/adult member, and $20/adult nonmember for 2 hours. Call ahead to rent at 320-354-5894.

Jan 26 (Sun) Frozen 5K Run/Walk – Start at Zorbaz 9 am (Rescheduled from Jan. 18 due to extreme cold weather)

Jan 19 (Sun) 7th Annual Kids Ice Fishing Derby on Green Lake

Jan 25 (Sat) 20th Annual Polar Plunge 2025 at 12 pm Plunge
