About

Recommended for all ages

Plants are already a major part of our food system, but how do we adapt them to our changing needs? Join University of Minnesota plant genetics researchers to explore the science behind the crops we eat. Investigate bright red plants used in genetics studies, learn about the quest to grow table grapes in Minnesota, and take home a plant breeding project of your own!

Spotlight Science is a regular program connecting you to current science conducted at the University of Minnesota and in our community. Join researchers, students, and special guests for conversations and unique interactive experiences.
