About

In 2008, artist Susan Waughtal and architect Roger Nelson decided to become farmers. They share their adventures restoring a sleepy 125-year-old farmstead, learning to milk cows and harvest chickens, and transforming the farm into a hub of diverse enterprises celebrating local food, local art, and local music with the community. Susan will introduce her new book, “A Squash Blossom Farm Sampler: Alphabetical Adventures in Artisan Agriculture” and you may enjoy treats from the Squash Blossom Farm bakery.

This activity is made possible through a
grant from the Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council thanks to a legislative
appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund.
