Frederick Beseler grew up along the Wisconsin banks of the mighty Mississippi River and has spent quite some time beautifully restoring numerous steamboat models crafted by Wabasha native Jacob Mathias! The models were built in the 1940s and ‘50s in Wabasha, Minnesota and this will be the first time that Frederick will talk about Mr. Mathias and how he built the models in the town that they were created! Frederick will talk about the restoration process and provide a history of each of the real steamboats that were frequently seen along the Mississippi River 100 years and more ago!
