About

“Bringing it Back” - Teen Culture in the 1950s and 1960s at the Waseca County History Center

NEW EXHIBIT June 18-August 30:

*Our summer exhibit will reminisce about Waseca County at the very beginning of teen culture. As always, entry is FREE. Our exhibit will span local sports to old prom pictures (and our very own prom king and queen on display). We’ll have as many yearbooks from 1950-1969 in Waseca County schools as we can possibly find for you to peruse, scrapbooks, too. Come in and see if you recognize any faces in the photos! There’ll also be a map of all the county’s lover’s lane locations back in the day!

*If you have teenage memories and stories to tell about this time period, we’d love to hear them. We’ll also have a station where you can write down your memories to add to our collection.

*Photo op area where YOU can dress the part of a 1950s/60s Prom King or Queen, complete with a corsage or boutonniere, crowns, and prom backdrop!
