What's more Minnesotan than fishing through the ice? Get an introduction to a favorite Minnesota pastime! Learn the basics of this life-long winter sport including, ice fishing techniques, ice fishing safety, equipment and more. Experienced staff, professionals and community partners will be on hand to show you how it's done.

This is a hands on event. Practice techniques, learn how to bait a hook, and test out equipment. Warm up by a fire, or try kicksledding. If you want to try ice fishing, but you don't know how, or you don't have the equipment, this is the event for you. Don't miss the fun.

This program is free and open to all ages. Children 11 years and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Funny Minnesota accent not required. All are welcome.
