Exhibit features African American early settlers in the 1800s, and women trailblazers. Learn about the struggles and successes of African Americans who moved to Minnesota from the South during the "Great Migration." Honor African Americans who served in the military during World Wars I and II during a time when the US military was segregated, and who fought for freedom abroad, but faced discrimination at home. Permanent exhibit on display now.
