Valborg at ASI

About

Celebrate the coming of spring like a Swede and grab the last chance to snap a selfie with the Solar Egg (the public art sculpture and functional sauna in ASI's outdoor courtyard)!
In pagan times, bonfires were lit to ward off evil spirits and, later, to keep predators away from livestock let out to graze. Children would also traditionally roam from house to house singing songs, and were rewarded with eggs.
Nowadays, the bonfires are lit more symbolically to burn off the long, dark winter nights and welcome spring. We'll be putting our own spin on the celebration at ASI with fires and songs, along with specialty cocktails and snacks by FIKA available for purchase.
