Victorian Seance: Fact or Fiction?

About

As the Spiritualist movement gained popularity in the mid-19th century, an increasing number of Victorians began attending seances. It was believed that seances, conducted by mediums, were the best way to connect with the spirit world. Some mediums were sincere in this intent, but others were frauds and developed elaborate ways of tricking their audiences.

Experience elements of a Victorian seance in this one-of-a-kind event with artist and performer Michael Callahan, as he portrays a Victorian medium, and discover some of the tools and tricks used at a 19th-century séance.

The 60-minute program starts at 8, 9, 10 and 11 pm and is suitable for ages 16 and up.
