North Folk Winery, in partnership with KBEK, 95.5 FM, are proud to present the 4th Annual The Vines Bluegrass Festival, August 31st, 12:00 – 8:00 pm. We are super excited about the band lineup this year of groups playing some of the best bluegrass in the Midwest!
No Man's String Band starts things out at 1:00 pm. No Man's String Band truly ventures into places no string band has been before. The group is tight, in tune and original, and posses a unique voice. The 2015 winner of Minnesota Bluegrass and Old Time Music Association's Race For A Place band contest. https://nomansstringband.com/index.html
Red Tail Ring follows at 3:30 pm. The very best of the 21st century's minimalist and highly original folk and bluegrass music…a peerless duo. This group has also appeared at some of the most notable festivals and venues that the US has to offer, such as The Ark, Club Passim, Caffe Lena, the Indiana Fiddlers Gathering, Wheatland Music Festival, and Hiawatha Traditional Music Festival. https://redtailring.com
The High 48s finish the evening as our Headliner band. They're a band with one foot in tradition and the other in the world of music today, and one of the very few who can find an overlooked bluegrass classic song by M. Ward or the Clash then throw down hard on a standard by Bill Monroe. https://thehigh48s.com
This is a rain or shine event with performances under the tent. Food will be available by Tiki Tim’s Food Truck.
