BOAT ORDER WILL BE DRAWN ON JULY 28th after the rules meeting.
Official rules of the GOM fishing tourney: Rules meeting at Izaak Park 7/28/2023 @ 7:00pm. One person must attend.
1. Entry fee of $100 / boat - two people per boat. $10 big fish pot (optional)
2. Tournament borders are POOL 4 and POOL 5, railroad track to railroad track.
3. Boats will line up in order of paid entry form from Izaak Walton Park. No trailering of boats.
4. Weigh-in at Ike’s Park 2:30 pm sharp, no excuses.
5. Minnesota/Wisconsin rules apply.

1. Participants and Eligibility
A. Contestants must enter and fish as a two-person team.
B. Each entrant must have in his or her possession, a valid Minnesota or Wisconsin fishing license.
C. Promoters, tournament directors and organizations assisting in the tournament operation, their
agencies, agents, etc. are not responsible for deaths, injuries, damages, liability, theft, fire or any loss
of any kind to entrants. Each entrant upon signing any entry form will in effect be signing a waiver
form.
2. Tackle and Equipment
A. Minnesota and Wisconsin boundary waters regulations will apply to all fishing methods and
equipment.
B. All fish must be caught live an in a conventional sporting manner on hook and line.
C. Due to the date of the tournament and water temperatures, the DNR has established this as a walleye
kill tournament. Catfish may be released.
3. Permitted Fishing Waters
A. Fishing is permitted on POOLS 4 AND 5, railroad track to railroad track.
B. All boats may be subject to live-well inspections.
4. Fishing Hours
A. Tournament hours are from 6:30am - 2:30pm on Saturday July 30th, 2022.
B. Contestants who return later than 2:30pm will be disqualified for the day.
NO EXCEPTIONS, NO EXCUSES.
5. Eligible Fish and Size
A. Walleye, channel and flathead catfish are eligible fish species.
B. The minimum length of walleye must be 15”.
C. The tournament limit is 4 walleye, (weigh your best 4 only 2 over 20”) and
one catfish.
D. More than 4 walleye and more than one catfish in the live well at any given time
will automatically disqualify your team from the tournament.
E. Only two walleyes, over 20” per boat is allowed.

6. Scoring
A. Prizes will be based on the most weight of the eligible fish species per two person teams. Total
weight of catch will determine placement of the tournament prizes.
B. Any fish mauled, mashed, frozen, tampered, injected with water or any other fluids, containing matter
To add weight will result in disqualification at the discretion of the tournament director’s or the
weigh-in official.
C. In the event of ties, the heaviest, single fish of the one-day tournament will determine final placing.
Catfish is a separate category. If there is a tie, the prize money will be split up.
7. Miscellaneous
A. Other than going to shore for adverse weather, no two contestant boats may pull up to each other
during tournament hours.
B. All rules have loopholes. It is in the intention of the sponsors to provide an honest sportsmanlike
tournament, in the interest of good sportsmanship, contestants are reminded that the “spirit of the rule”
will prevail in all judgement cases.
C. Contestants may not have another contestant or non-contestant boat hold a spot for them.
