About
This weekend takes place in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and at the Points Unknown homestead in the remote north woods of Minnesota's Arrowhead Region.
It is led by Becoming an Outdoors Woman (BOW) Dog Sledding Instructor and Points Unknown owner Linda Newman, and Windcradle's Mary Ellen Ashcroft, Creative Writing Instructor for the Grand Marais Art Colony and canoe guide with 25 years' experience.
We will stay the first night in the Points Unknown Guest Suite and then head up the Arrowhead Trail to the least utilized entry point into the BWCAW for four days of paddling and three nights of camping out. Our final night will be spent back in the Points Unknown Guest Suite.
This paddling retreat is open to all women with some paddling experience. (If you are a beginner, please check our listing for Women's Paddling for Beginners.) Limited to minimum of 4 and maximum of 6 participants. Fee of $995 includes the following:

- Four days of BWCAW paddling with instruction
- Three nights spent in the BWCAW
- Limited gear to fill the gaps such as sleeping pads. We'll touch base with each of you to see what you may be missing and we'll help as we can
- A Points Unknown Sled Dog Kennel tour and cuddle time with the sled dogs while staying in the guest suite
- A safe, supportive and fun all-women environment
